Attention of all the Importers, Exporters, CHA s and Members of the Trade is invited to the enactment of The Produce Cess Laws (Abolition) Act 2006, dated 25.09.2006 (No. 46 of 2006) 2. The Agricultural Produce Cess Act, 1940 (Cess Code 06) and The Produce Cess Act, 1966 (Cess Code 04) have been repealed by the enactment of The Produce Cess Laws (Abolition) Act, 2006 subject to the savings stated therein. The Exporters need not pay cess on the export of commodities covered under these Acts. All concerned are directed to take note of the above provisions Sd/- 13.02.07 (M. K.
