IV) MUMBAI ZONE-II, JAWAHARLAL NEHRU CUSTOMS HOUSE NHAVA SHEVA, TALUKA, URAN, DISTRICT-RAIGAD F.No.S/43-113/2009 P (G) JNCH Date: 06.10.2016 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 134/2016 Sub: - Entry of factory stuffed (including self sealed) export containers into port terminals prior to LEO- REG. ***** Attention of the Exporters, Importers, Customs House Agents, Members of Trade and all the concerned is invited to the Public Notice No. 52/2009 dated 06.08.2009 with regard to procedures to be followed for entry of factory stuffed (including self sealed) export containers into Port Terminals after LEO. In the said Public Notice five categories of the factory stuffed Containers were exempted from the said procedure for obtaining LEO before moving the Container to the Port Terminal and permitted direct entry in to port terminals, prior to granting LEO. 2. To further facilitate the Exporters, Central Board of Excise and Customs vide letter F.No. 450/25/2009-Cus IV dated 07.09.2016 has communicated the decision to permit the factory stuffed Containers of all the Manufacturing entities for direct entry into port terminals prior to granting LEO. 3. Accordingly, after discussing the matter with the Port Authorities, it has been decided that, in addition to the five categories of the factory stuffed containers which were exempted from the new procedure and permitted direct entry into port terminal vide Public Notice No. 52/2009 dated 06.08.2009 , the factory stuffed Containers of all the Manufacturing entities are exempted from the procedure as mentioned in Public Notice No. 52/2009 dated 06.08.2009 and permitted direct entry into port terminal, prior to granting LEO. 4. All those Manufacturing entities who wish to avail the above mentioned facility shall obtain a copy of the certificate as mentioned in Annexure A to this Public Notice from the Jurisdictional Central Excise authorities. While moving such Container for Direct Port Entry, the Exporter shall submit a copy of said certificate along with the Invoice of the Factory Stuffed Export Container and Checklist to the Gate Officer. In case, the Manufacturing entity is not registered with Central Excise, the Exporter shall submit a copy of Certificate as mentioned in Annexure A of this Public Notice issued by jurisdictional Central Excise Officials certifying that the Entity is a Manufacturing entity and is registered with a Central or a State Government Organisation or its Undertaking. 5. All the other conditions and procedures prescribed in Public Notice No. 52/2009 dated 06.08.2009 and its amendments issued thereafter would remain the same. 6. All the Trade, Industry and the concerned Associations are requested to bring the contents of this Public Notice to the knowledge of their members.
