No. 10(40)/2013-LR Government of India Ministry of Commerce Industry Department of Industrial Policy Promotion (L R Section) Udyog Bhavan New Delhi Dated 21th April, 2017 OFFICE MEMORANDUM Subject:- Pneumatic Tyres and Tubes for Automotive Vehicles (Quality Control) Order, 2009. The undersigned is directed to say that as per provisions contained under Sub-clause (a) to (f) of Clause 3 of the Pneumatic Tyres and Tubes for Automotive Vehicles (Quality Control) Order, 2009 , certain categories of tyres have been exempted from the application of the provisions of the said Quality Control Order, 2009. In pursuance of the Sub-clause (f) of Clause 3 of said Order, 2009, a Committee was constituted to finalize the list of tyres not manufactured domestically and to be imported by the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for selling in replacement market through their authorized dealers. 2. In supersession of this Department's O.M. of even number dated 03.08.2016, the said Committee has now reviewed and finalized a list of 706 sizes and types of tyres which are not manufactured domestically and to be imported by the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). The list of 706 such tyres is enclosed herewith. The size and type of tyres are specified in the List.
