The Board has decided that as per the SASEC Sub-regional plan and decisions taken during the 12 th India-Bangladesh Joint Group of Customs meeting, exchange of documents is to take place on mutually agreed commodities at select Land Customs Stations, of which Agartala LCS (with counterpart Akha ura LCS in Bangladesh) is also included. The commodities in which export declarations are to be shared be either country is given below: Country Commodities Bangladesh Cement, processed food products, plastic products, fish and oil India Dry fish, dry chilli, CNG parts, Cumin seeds and Agarbatti The details of nodal officers of both sides are as per table below: Country Name of Nodal Officer Contact details Bangladesh Mr. S.M. Name of Consignor b. Name of Consignee c. Description of goods d. HS e. Value (FoB) f. Quantity g. Unit measurement of h. I. Bill of Export number j. Bill of Export date iv) However, on request, any other information in any other export declaration may be shared. This document exchange programme under SASEC will commence at Agartala LCS from 01.04.19 and consequent to export of the specific commodities as listed being above the value threshold, the information may be shared with the counterpart nodal officer by email. Printouts of emails sent and also emails received from the nodal officer of Bangladesh for commodities received from their side may be kept in a file. The details of the information shared may be used to verify details submitted by the importers in B/Es corresponding to such consignments. This information sharing mechanism may also be utilised to ascertain any other specific details required relating to consignments received from Bangladesh at Agartala LCS as per modalities stipulated above.
