Attention of all CFSs/ Custodians/ Shipping Lines, their agents/ NVOCCs/ Freight Forwarders and Custom Brokers/ Importers is invited to the Public Notice No. 07 2018 dated 12.01.2018 directing the Shipping Lines to shift all FCL containers, stuffed only with baggage household and personal effects, belonging to different passengers, directly from Port to Speedy CFS, Sonari Village only, for examination clearance and also stipulating that the LCL baggage consignments shall be examined by officers of UBC in the respective CFS.(except at M/s. Navkar Corporation Ltd., Preeti Logistics ltd.(now M/s. Navkar Corporation Ltd. Yard l) JWC Logistics Park CFS and Ashte Logistics Pvt. Ltd.), where the cargo is lying. The LCL cargo at the aforesaid CFSs are being examined by the officers at the UB centre on prior intimation, as per PN No. 07 2011 dated 24.01.2011. 2. In furtherance to directions for examination issued vide Public Notice 07/2011,it is directed that the LCL consignments at, M/s. Navkar Corporation Ltd. Yard 2,Ws Kerry Indev Logistics Pvt. Ltd. and M/S. Apollo Logi Solutions Limited will not be examined by the officers of UBC at these CFSs because of the long distance from the UB Centre. The LCL baggage cargo at these CFSs will also be examined at the UB Centre on prior intimation as per PN No. 07/2011 dated 24.01.2011. 3. Consequent to operationalization/ commencement of the Drive through scanner at Nhava- Sheva port, the containers are selected for scanning by RMS on the basis of certain parameters. At present, most of the baggage consignments are subjected to scanning at the CSD, JNCH and the images along with other relevant information of the suspicious shipments is forwarded to the Docks DC AC for 100% examination. 4. In view of the same, it is directed that all FCL LCL Baggage shipments, which are not selected by RMS for scanning at the CSD JNCH, shall be subjected to 100% screening in the X- ray machine installed at Speedy CFS for baggage screening. However, exceptions may be made in case of over-dimensional packages and packages that cannot pass through the X-ray machine. However, all such packages, which cannot be screened at the X-ray machine at the Speedy CFS, for whatever reasons, shall be compulsorily opened and examined 100%. Also, the LCL Baggage shipments, if not scanned and destined to CFSs other than Speedy CFS, will be subjected to open and examination of 100% the packages. 5.
