No. S/43 600/ 2017-18 CHS JNCH Date- 22.09.2019 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 80/2019 Sub: Implementation of Advanced Queue Management System reg. Attention of all the Importer, Exporters, Customs Brokers, other stake holders and members of the trade coming under the jurisdiction of JNCH, Nhava Sheva is invited towards the installation of Advanced Queue Management System for all Appraising groups located at 3rd, 4th and 5th floor of C wing of JNCH Building, as well as Deputy / Assistant Commissioners, in charge of all the appraising groups, located at 2nd Floor, C wing, JNCH Building. 2. In order to keep pace with the changing era of Ease of Doing Business to promote Trade facilitation and to ensure that there are no hurdles in the legitimate movement of trade representatives and Customs brokers inside the JNCH building while movement of unauthorised persons is curbed, an Advanced Queue Management System is being implemented at JNCH building. The system is installed in the verandah on the 1st floor, outside the existing Sevottam Section. 3. Visitors who wish to meet the Dy. Commissioner/Asstt. Commissioner or Appraisers posted in Appraising groups are required to contact the operator of E-token system with relevant details (who would be available for initial hand holding exercise at 1st floor itself). Four electronic kiosks alongwith display boards have been installed there. The visitor would need to key in his details alongwith details of the officer, he needs to meet on the basis of which the kiosk will generate a paper token indicating his number in the queue. The concerned officer of the Appraising group shall acknowledge the entry of the said visitor, as and when he is prepared to meet the visitor who will be allowed to enter the building only when his token number is displayed on the electronic display screen. 4. The said Advance Queue Management system was explained to the BCBA office bearer/ members in the meeting held with the Joint Commissioner on 08.08.2019 at 11.30 AM. The Advance Queue management Token system is scheduled to be operationalised with effect from 16.09.2019. Persons found loitering about in the Corridors, Appraising Hall or outside Group AC s cabins without valid token would be liable to action. 5. Difficulties faced, if any, may be brought to the notice of the Superintendent of the customs (Prev) CHS, JNCH Nhava Sheva (Nodal officer) for further necessary action.
