No. VIII/48-229/Cus/T/2007 Dated: 10.10.2007 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 60/2007 Sub : Customs Valuation ( Determination of Value of Imported Goods) Rules, 2007- Instructions - Regarding Attention of all the Trade Associations/Chambers of Commerce and Members of Regional Advisory Committee, Importers, Exporters and Custom House Agents Association is invited to the Public Notice No. 52/2007 dated 21.09.2007 issued by this Commissionerate from even File Number, vide which the new Import Valuation Rules, i.e., Customs Valuation (Determination of Value of Imported Goods) Rules, 2007, which have come into force on 10th of October, 2007, were circulated. 2. The Board has since issued another Circular No. 38/2007-Customs dated 09.10.2007, issued from F.No. 467/35/2007-Cus.V, by the Director (ICD), Central Board of Excise Customs, New Delhi, on the above subject, a copy of which is enclosed herewith for information, guidance and necessary action. 3. Vide above mentioned Circular, Board has issued clarifications with regard to the major changes in the new Valuation Rules for imported goods for proper application of the Valuation Rules i.e., Customs Valuation (Determination of Value of Imported Goods) Rules, 2007. 4. All the Trade Associations/Chambers of Commerce and Members of Regional Advisory Committee and Custom House Agents Association are requested to publicise the contents of the said Circular dated 09.10.2007, amongst their Members/ Constituents, for their information and necessary action.
