Attention to the Importers, Exporters, Customs Brokers and all other stakeholders is invited to the ICES Advisory No. 05/2023 issued by the Directorate General of Systems and Data Management, related to subject matter. Reference is also invited to Board s Circular No. 08/2023 dated 13.03.2023 on the above subject. 2. In this regard, it is informed that to implement Para 3(b) of the above circular, the System has been enabled to capture an alpha numeric code/ identifier, as provided under Annexure-2 of the aforesaid Circular for CTHs 85176290 and 85176990, at the item level in the Bill of Entry filed in the EDI System w.e.f. 1 st April 2023. Accordingly, for the above two CTHs, the importers or Customs Brokers are mandatorily required to declare the following under the Single Window table (BE_ITEM_INFO_TYPE) of the Bill of Entry at the item level Info_type _ info_qfr Info_cd Comments PNM PID Identifier Code ( as per Annexure 2 of Board Circular ) The identifier Code against the two CTHs (85176290 and 85176990) has to be declared from the list of values as given in Annexure 2 of the Board Circular 3. It is informed that importers/ CBs will have to mandatorily declare the identifier code under info_cd field in the above table only from the list given under Annexure 2 of the aforesaid Circular . 4.
