OFFICE OF COMMISSIONER OF CUSTOMS (EXPORT) EGM COORDINATION SECTION, AIR CARGO COMPLEX, SAHAR, ANDHERI (E), MUMBAI-400099 Email Id: [email protected] Date: 16-03-2024 PUBLIC NOTICE No. 15 / 2024 Subject : Monthly Public Notice containing therein list of EGM errors Attention to all the Exporter, Customs Brokers, Members of Trade, Custodian and all the concerned are invited to EGM errors that were reflected in the EDI system after filing of Shipping Bills and delivering the manifest (EGM) to the proper officer and the same were periodically e-mailed to all the concerned Airlines intimating them about the EGM errors respectively and requesting them to get the EGM errors removed. 2. With reference to the above subject, it is stated that as per Section 41 of the Customs Act, 1962; The person in-charge of a conveyance carrying export goods shall, before departure of the conveyance from a Customs station, deliver the manifest (EGM) to the proper officer . 3. It has been observed that in some cases correct EGM was not filed which often resulted in delay in receipt of export incentives. 4. In view of the above and in pursuance of Public Notice No. 05/2022 dated 31/01/2022 Public Notice for the month of February, 2024 containing therein Annexure-A, having list of EGM errors and Annexure-B, having list of Shipping Bills for which EGM filing is pending is being issued. All the Exporter, Customs Brokers can take note and get the EGM errors removed or EGM filed as per the case, for availing their post Export benefits/incentives through the concerned Airlines. 5, Difficulty if any, faced in implementation of the Public Notice may be brought to the notice of the officers of Customs, Export, ACC, Mumbai.
