Central Government specifies "10 year--9% (tax free) Secured Redeemable Non-Convertible NTPC Bonds-IV Issue) (Private Placement)", issued by the National Thermal Power Corporation Limited u/s 10(15)(iv)(h) NOTIFICATION NO. S.O.1201(E) DATED 27-12-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by item ( h ) of sub-clause ( iv ) of clause (15) of section 10 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government hereby specifies " 10 year--9% (tax free) Secured Redeemable Non-Convertible NTPC Bonds-IV Issue) (Private Placement)", issued by the National Thermal Power Corporation Limited, for the purpose of the said item : Provided that the benefit under the said item shall be admissible only if the holder of such bonds registers his name and holding with the said Corporation.
