Notification u/s 35AC - Notifies the scheme or project "Expansion of outreach programmes for rural areas in neighbouring villages of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan" which is being carried out by "Ishwar Charitable Trust (Ishwar Eye Institute)-ICARE, N-172, Panchshila Park, New Delhi - 110 017" - 20/2013 - S.O. 3138(E) - Income Tax

NOTIFICATION NO. 20/2013 DATED 17-10-2013 S.O. 3138(E) - Whereas by notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) number S.O 471(E), dated 26th May, 1995 issued under clause (b) of the Explanation to section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961) , the Central Government had notified at serial number 13, "Expansion of outreach programmes for rural areas in neighbouring villages of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan" by "Ishwar Charitable Trust (Ishwar Eye Institute)-ICARE, N-172, Panchshila Park, New Delhi - 110 017", as an eligible project at the estimated cost of Rs. 208.97 lakh for a period of three years ending with financial year 1997-98; which was further extended vide notification number S.O. 837(E), dated 18 September, 1998 for a period of three years ending with financial year 2000-01; which was. further extended vide notification number S.O. 904(E), dated 20th September, 2001 for a period of three years ending with financial year 2003-04; which was further extended vide notification number S.O. 1602(E), dated 15th November, 2005 for a period of two years ending with financial year 2006-07; which was further extended vide notification number S.O 1162(E), dated 16th July, 2007 ending with financial year 2009-10; which was further extended vide notification number S.O. 650(E), dated 22nd March, 2010 for three more financial year ending with 2012-13. And whereas vide Notification number S.O. 650(E), dated 22nd March, 2010 , the project cost was enhanced from Rs. 208.91 lakh to Rs. 729.55 lakh; And whereas the said project or scheme is likely to extend beyond 13 years; And whereas the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare, being satisfied that the said project or scheme is being executed properly, made a further recommendation under sub-rule (5) of rule 11M of the Income-tax Rules, 1962 for specifying the said project or scheme for a further period of three years; Now, therefore, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) read with clause (b) of the Explanation to section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961) , hereby notifies the scheme or project "Expansion of outreach programmes for rural areas in neighbouring villages of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan" which is being carried out by "Ishwar Charitable Trust (Ishwar Eye Institute)-ICARE, N-172, Panchshila Park, New Delhi - 110 017", without any change in the approved cost of Rs.729.55 lakh, as an eligible project or scheme, for a further period of three years commencing with financial year 2013-14, i.e., 2013-14, 2014-15 2015-16.
