To set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at Bellandur Village, Varthur Hobli, Bangalore East Taluka, Bangalore Urban District in the State of Karnataka - S.O. 584(E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION 26/03/2012 S.O. 584(E) - Whereas, M/s. Primal Projects Private Limited, a private organisation, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at Bellandur Village, Varthur Hobli, Bangalore East Taluka, Bangalore Urban District in the State of Karnataka; And whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006 , had notified the areas of 10.361 hectares and 2.312 hectares at above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification numbers S.O.1477(E), dated 29th August, 2007 and S.O.463(E), dated 1st March, 2011 respectively; And whereas, M/s. Primal Projects Private Limited, has now proposed to include an area of 2.023 hectares to the above Special Economic Zone; Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby notifies an area of 2.023 hectares as part of the above Special Economic Zone, thereby making total area of the Special Economic Zone as 14.696 hectares, comprising the survey number and the area given below in the table namely:- Table Name of the Village Survey Number Area (in hectares) (1) (2) (3) Bellandur 66/1 2.023 (being added) Grand Total Area of SEZ after above addition 14.696 Hectares
