Ministry of Commerce and Industry Department of Commerce New Delhi Dated 14/03/2006 S.O. 320(E) - In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section (1) of Section 52 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , the Central Government hereby appoints the 14th day of March, 2006 as the date from which the provisions contained in the Chapter XA of the Customs Act, 1962 and the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2003 and the Special Economic Zones (Customs Procedure) Regulations, 2003 shall not apply to the Special Economic Zones.
