To set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for food processing at Village Cheleinbra, Taluk Thirurangadi, District Malappuram in the State of Kerala. - S.O. 162(E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 10th January, 2013 S.O. 162(E).- Whereas, M/s. Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation has proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for food processing at Village Cheleinbra, Taluk Thirurangadi, District Malappuram in the State of Kerala ; And, whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006 , had notified an area of 12,52 hectares at above Special Economic Zone vide the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 962(E), dated 13th June, 2007 ; And, whereas, M/s. Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation has now proposed for the inclusion of 0.887 hectares and denotification of 0.887 hectares in above Special Economic Zone ; And, whereas, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirement under sub-section (8) of Section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled ; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby notifies an additional area of 0.887 hectares and denotifies an area of 0.887 hectares, with same resultant area 12.52 hectares, comprising the survey numbers and the area given below in the Table, namely : TABLE Serial No. Name of the Village Survey / Plot Number Area Originally notified (in hectares) Additional area to be notified (in hectares) Area to be denotified (in hectares) New Area of the SEZ (in hectares) (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) (7) 1.
