Officers of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police, wherever posted, entrusted with specified functions of Officers of Customs - 194/84 - Customs -TariffExtract Notification No. 194/84 Dated 06/07/1984 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) , the Central Government hereby entrusts to the officers of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police mentioned in column (2) of the Table below, wherever posted, the functions of an Officer of Customs specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table and directs that each such officer shall exercise the functions of an Officer of Customs with in the local limits of his jurisdiction. Table Sl. No. Designation of Officer Functions under the provisions of the Customs Act 1962 (1) (2) (3) 1. All Commandants, Assistant Commandants and Company Commander. 1. Functions under sections 100 to 104 (both inclusive), 106 , 107 , 109 and 110 ; and 2. Functions under sections 105 and 108 in places where no officer of Customs of the rank of Superintendent of Customs and Central Excise or above is stationed. 2. All Subedar Majors, Subedars and Sub-Inspectors. Functions under sections 100 to 104 (both inclusive), 106 , 107 , 109 and 110 3. Head Constables and Naiks.
