Commissioners authorised to exercise Principal Commissioner or Commissioner’s powers in cases of over/under valuation less that ₹ 10,000/- - 55 - Customs -TariffExtract Notification No. 55 Dated 20/07/1970 In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of section 152 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) , the Central Government hereby directs that the powers of confiscation of goods exercisable under clause (a) of section 122 of the said Act , by a 1 [Principal Commissioner of Customs or Commissioner of Customs, as the case may be], shall also be exercisable by an 2 [Assistant Commissioner of Customs or Deputy Commissioner of Customs] in such cases involving under-valuation or over-valuation of goods where the extent of under-valuation or, as the case may be, over-valuation is less than ₹ 10, 000/- ---------------------- 1 Substituted by Notification No. 56/2014-Cus.
