In exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India, 1992 (15 of 1992) , read with rule 3 of the Securities and Exchange Board India (Terms and Conditions of Service of Chairman and Members) Rules, 1992 , the Central Government hereby appoints Shri Prashant Saran, as Whole Time Member (WTM) of the Securities and Exchange Board of India in the scale of pay admissible to Additional Secretary to the Government of India or a consolidated salary of ₹ 2,50,000/- per month with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post for 5 years or up to 65 years of age or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
