The Securities Exchange Board of India, having considered the application for renewal of recognition Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956 by MCX Stock Exchange Limited, having its registered office at Exchange square, Suren Road, Chakala Andheri (East), Mumbai-400093 and being satisfied that it would be in the interests of trade and also in the public interest so to do hereby grants, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 4 of the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956 , renewal of recognition to the said Exchange under Section 4 of the said Act for a period of one year commencing on the 16th day of September, 2011 and-ending on the 15th day of September, 2012 in respect of contracts in securities subject to the conditions stated herein below or as prescribed or imposed hereafter : This renewal of recognition is subject to the decision to be taken on the notice dated September 13, 2011. This renewal of recognition is also subject to the court proceedings pending in respect of the order of SEBI dated September 23, 2010 against MCX-SX and subject to compliance with the relevant laws, rules and regulations as made applicable to stock exchanges(trading in securities including compliance with relevant provisions of the Securities Contracts (Regulation) (Manner of Increasing and Maintaining Public Shareholding in Recognised Stock Exchanges) Regulations, 2006. The Exchange will permit trade only in securities in which trading was permitted hitherto and shall not be eligible for introduction of any new class of contracts in securities, unless permitted otherwise.
