Notification under section 11 of the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956 for appointing new Administrator of the Uttar Pradesh Stock Exchange Association Limited (UPSE). - S.O. No.959(E) - SEBI/LE/70320/2006 - SEBI

SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE BOARD OF INDIA NOTIFICATION Mumbai, the 29 th June, 2006 S.O. No.959(E).- Vide Notification F.No. SEBI/LE/63413/2006, dated March 28, 2006 ( said notification ), the supersession of the Governing Board of the Uttar Pradesh Stock Exchange Association Limited ( Governing Board ) was extended by the Securities and Exchange Board of India ( SEBI ) for a further period of six months up to September 30, 2006 and Shri M.N. Sabharwal, IPS (Retd.) continued as an Administrator to exercise and perform all the powers and duties of the Governing Board. Vide letter dated June 23, 2006, Shri M.N. Sabharwal has tendered his resignation due to personal reasons and, therefore, the new Administrator is required to be appointed in his place as the current supersession of the Governing Board is valid till September 30, 2006. In view of the aforesaid, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me under section 19 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 read with section 11 of the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956 and Notification No. S.O. 573, dated July 30, 1992 issued by Central Government, Shri K.D. Gupta, IRS (Retd.) is hereby appointed as new Administrator of UPSE and shall exercise and perform all the powers and duties of the Governing Board, during the period of supersession, Shri K.D.
