SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE BOARD OF INDIA NOTIFICATION Mumbai. the 30 th April, 2002 S.O.474(E).- Securities and Exchange Board of India, having considered the application for renewal of recognition made under Section 3 of the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956, (hereinafter referred to as the Act ) by Gauhati Stock Exchange Limited, (hereinafter referred to as the Exchange ) and being satisfied that it would be in the interest of the trade and also in the public interest so to do. hereby grants, in exercise of the powers conferred by the Act, renewal of recognition to the Exchange under Section 4 of the Act for a further period of one year commencing on the 1st day of May 2002 and ending on the 30th day of April 2003 in respect of contracts in securities, subject to the conditions specified herein or as may be prescribed or imposed hereafter:- (a) Implementation and compliance of the suggestions as detailed in Section-V of the SEBI Inspection report (2001-2002), and (b) Shall commence trading subject to submission of confirmation of the compliance of the said suggestions by the Exchange and further approval from SEBI.
