Securities Contracts (Regulation) (Fourth Amendment) Rules, 1994. - G.S.R. No.608(E) - F. No. 1/37/SE/94 - SEBIExtract MINISTRY OF FINANCE (Department of Economic Affairs) (External Commercial Borrowings and Investment Division) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 5th August, 1994 G.S.R. No.608(E).- The following draft of certain rules further to amend the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Rules, 1957 which the Central Government propose to make in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 30 of the Securities Contract Regulation) Act, 1956 (42 of 1956), is hereby published as required by sub-section (3) of the said section for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby, and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration on or after the expiry of a period of forty five days from the date on which the copies of the Gazette of India in which this notification is published are made available to the public. Any objection or suggestion which may be received from any person with respect to the said draft before the expiry of the said period will be considered by the Central Government. Any person desiring to make any objection or suggestion in respect of said draft rules may forward the same for consideration by the Central Government within the period so specified above to the Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, North Block, New Delhi-110 001. DRAFT RULES 1.(1) These rules may be called the Securities Contracts (Regulation) (Fourth Amendment) Rules, 1994. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette. 7. In the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Rules, 1957 - (a) in the marginal heading of rule 10, for the words Government nominees , the words Nominees of the Securities and Exchange Board of India shall be substituted, and (b) in rule 10 for the words The Central Government , the words The Securities and Exchange Board of India shall be substituted.
