To set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for free trade warehousing zone at Mannur and Valarpuram villages, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District in the State of Tamil Nadu - S.O.1317(E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 20th May, 2009 S.O.1317(E). - Whereas M/s. J. Matadee Eco Parks Private Limited, has proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for free trade warehousing zone at Mannur and Valarpuram villages, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District in the State of Tamil Nadu; And whereas the Central Government in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, has notified a total area of 40.62.5 hectares at Mannur and Valarpuram villages, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District in the State of Tamil Nadu as Special Economic Zone in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry notification No. S.O. 465 (E) dated 10th March, 2006; And whereas M/s. J. Matadee Eco Parks Private Limited has proposed to include a part of additional area of 44.15 hectares at Mannur and Valarpuram villages, Sriperurnbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District in the State of Tamil Nadu as a part of that Special Economic Zone; And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the Act and other related requirements are fulfilled and it has granted letter of approval under sub-section (10) of section 3 of the Act for development and operation of the sector specific Special Economic Zone for free trade warehousing zone at the said Mannur and Valarpuram villages on 7th October, 2008; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Act and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby notifies an additional area of 44.15 hectares at Mannur and Valarpuram villages, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District in the State of Tamil Nadu, comprising of the Survey numbers and the area given in the Table below, to be included as a part of that Special Economic Zone, namely: Table Sl.
