Effective rates for various fibres, yarns etc. of Chapters 50 to 56 - Amendment to Notification No. 31/93-C.E.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 31/93-Central Excises, dated the 28th February, 1993, namely :-

In the Table Annexed to the said notification, against Sl. No. 50, in column No. (3), for the words "has already been paid.", the words and figures "under the said Schedule, or as the case may be, the additional duty leviable under section 3 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), has already been paid." shall be substituted.
