Appointment of Commissioner of Customs (Appeals) - Amendment to Notification No. 29/97-Cus. (N.T.) Notification No. 41/97-Cus. (N.T.) Dated 10-9-1997 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 29/97-Customs (N.T.), dated the 7th July, 1997 namely :- In the Table to the said notification :- (a) against serial No. 4, for the entries in column (3), the following shall be substituted, namely :- "Commissioner of Customs, Cochin. Commissioners of Central Excise, Cochin-I, Cochin-II. Commissioner of Customs, Bangalore, Mangalore, Commissioners of Central Excise, Bangalore-I, Bangalore-II, Bangalore-III, Belgaum"; (b) against serial No. 8, for entries in column (3), the following shall be substituted, namely :- "Commissioners of Customs, Calcutta, Calcutta Airport, Patna, West Bengal. Commissioners of Central Excise, Patna, Jamshedpur, Calcutta-I, Calcutta-II, Calcutta-III, Calcutta-IV, Bolpur, Bhubaneswar-I, Bhubaneswar-II, Shillong"; (c) after serial No. 8 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely :- (1) (2) (3) "8A Commissioner of Customs (Appeals) Guwahati. Commissioner of Customs, Shillong Commissioners of Central Excise, Shillong, Patna, Calcutta-I, Calcutta-II, Calcutta-III, Calcutta-IV, Bolpur. (d) against serial No. 12, for the entries in column (3), the following shall be substituted, namely :- "Commissioners of Customs, Delhi, Amritsar, Jodhpur. Commissioners of Central Excise, Delhi-I, Delhi-II, Delhi-III, Jaipur-I, Jaipur-II"; (e) against serial No. 13, for the entries in column (3), the following shall be substituted, namely :- "Commissioner of Customs, Kandla, Ahmedabad. Commissioners of Central Excise, Rajkot, Ahmedabad-I, Ahmedabad-II"; (f) after serial No. 13 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely :- (1) (2) (3) "13A Commissioner of Customs (Appeals) Vadodara Commissioner of Central Excise, Vadodara, Surat-I, Surat-II.
