Appointment of Customs Officers for the State of U.P. and Bihar Notification No. 25/94-Cus. (N.T.) Dated 2-6-1994 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 250/83-Customs, dated the 27th August, 1983, namely :- In the Table to the said notification, - (i) For serial number 2 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be substituted, namely :- 1 2 3 4 "2. The whole of the State of Uttar Pradesh. Collector of Customs (Preventive), Lucknow. Additional Collector of Customs (Preventive), Lucknow. Deputy Collectors of Customs working under the control of Collector of Customs (Preventive), Lucknow. Assistant Collectors of Customs working under the control of Collector of Customs (Preventive), Lucknow."; (ii) after serial number 5 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be added namely :- 1 2 3 4 (a)Whole of the State of "6. Bihar. (b) District of Darjeeling, Islampur Sub-division of West Dinajpur District and Jalpaiguri Sadar Sub-division of Jalpaiguri District in the State of West Bengal. (c) The State of Sikkim. Collector of Customs (Preventive), Patna. Additional Collector of Customs, Muzaffarpur. Deputy Collectors of Customs working under the control of Collector of Customs (Preventive), Patna. Assistant Collectors of Customs working under the control of Collector of Customs (Preventive), Patna."
