Customs and Central Excise Duties Drawback (Amendment) Rules, 1993 Notification No. 34/93-Cus. (N.T.) Dated 31-5-1993 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 75 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) and section 37 of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Customs and Central Excise Duties Drawback Rules, 1971, namely:- (1) These rules may be called the Customs and Central Excise Duties Drawback (Amendment) Rules, 1993. (2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of June, 1993. 2. In the Customs and Central Excise Duties Drawback Rules, 1971 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule 2, clause (e) shall be omitted. 3. In rule 3 of the said rules, in sub-rule (1), the words "specified in the Schedule" shall be omitted. 4. In rule 7A of the said rules, in sub-rule (1), for the words "Rupees ten thousand", the words "Rupees five thousand" shall be substituted. 5. The Schedule to the said rules shall be omitted.
