Appointment of Principal Collector of Customs, West Zone, South Zone, East Zone and North Zone Notification No. 48/88-Cus. (N.T.) Dated 1-7-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 343/85-Customs, dated the 26th November, 1985, the Central Government hereby appoints the officers mentioned in column (1) of the Table below to be the Principal Collector of Customs for the areas falling within the jurisdiction of the Collectors of Central Excise or, as the case may be, the Collectors of Customs mentioned in the corresponding entry in column (2) of the said Table.
