Amendment in the notification No. 23/2002-Customs, dated the 1st March, 2002 29th July, 2003 Notification No. 119 / 2003 - Customs In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3A of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, and having regard to the maximum sales-tax, local tax or any other charges for the time being leviable on like goods, on their sale or purchase in India, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 23/2002-Customs, dated the 1st March, 2002, namely:- In the said notification, in the third proviso, for the figures and words "1 st day of August, 2003", the figures and words "1stday of October, 2003" shall be substituted.
