Setting up of a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Free Trade and Warehousing Zone at Village Sai, Taluka Panvel, District Raigad - Maharashtra MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 5th April, 2010 S.O. 757(E).- Whereas M/s. Arshiya International Limited, a private organisation in the State of Maharashtra, had proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act ) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Free Trade and Warehousing Zone at Village Sai, Taluka Panvel, District Raigad in the State of Maharashtra; And whereas, the Central Government was satisfied that requirements under sub-section (8) of Section 3 of the said Act , and other related requirements are fulfilled and it had granted letter of approval under sub-section (10) of Section 3 of the said Act for an area of 68 hectares for development, operation and maintenance of the above scctor specific Special Economic Zone on the 27th February, 2009; And whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act read with rules 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006 , had notified the area of 45.76 hectares at above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and industry Notification number S.O. 1158(E) dated 4th May, 2009 ; And whereas, M/s. Arshiya International Limited has how proposed to include an area of 6.985 hectares out of the remaining area in the said Special Economic Zone; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby notifies an area of 6.985 hectares as part of the above Special Economic Zone, thereby making total area of the Special Economic Zone as 52.745 hectares, comprising of the survey numbers and the area given below in the Table, namely: TABLE Sl.
