Setting up of a multi-product SEZ at Village Dahej SEZ Limited in District Bharuch - Gujarat - De-notification of certain area notified vide Notification No. S.O. 2131(E), dated 20-12-2006 Notification No. S.O. 774(E) Dated 7-4-2010 Whereas M/s. Dahej SEZ Limited, a joint venture of Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) and Oil and Natural Gas Commission Limited, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a multi-product Special Economic Zone at Village Dahej, Ambheta, Luvara, Suva, Lakhigam and Jageshwar in Taluke Vagra, District Bharuch in the State of Gujarat; And whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006 , had notified an area of 1718-93-87 hectares at above Special Economic Zone vide the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 2131(E) dated 20th December, 2006 ; And whereas, M/s. Dahej SEZ Limited has proposed for the de-notification of 07-98-50 hectares and 06-57-84 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone and the Central Government after considering the said proposal approved and conveyed it on 31st December, 2008 and 19th February, 2010 respectively; And whereas, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby denotifies an area of 14-56-34 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 1704-37-53 hectares at above Special Economic Zone, comprising of the survey numbers and the area given below in the table, namely :- TABLE Sl.
