Setting up a multi-product SEZ at Village Dahej, District Bharuch - Gujarat - De-notification of certain area notified vide Notification No. S.O. 2131(E), dated 20-12-2006 MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 23rd April, 2010 S.O. 944(E). - Whereas M/s. Dahej SEZ Limited, a joint venture of Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) and Oil and Natural Gas Commission Limited, had proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act ) to set up a multi-product Special Economic Zone at Village Dahej, Ambheta, Luvara, Suva, Lakhigam and Jageshwar in Taluk Vagra, District Bharuch in the State of (Gujarat); And whereas, the Central Government was satisfied that requirements under sub-section (8) of Section 3 of the said Act , and other related requirements are fulfilled and it had granted letter of approval under sub-section (10) of Section 3 of the said Act for an area of 1768 hectares for development, operation and maintenance of the above sector specific Special Economic Zone on the 7th April, 2006; And whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006 , had notified an area of 1718-93-87 hectares at above Special Economic Zone vide the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 2131(E) dated 20th December, 2006 ; And whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006 , had denotified an area of 14-56-34 hectares thereby making resultant area as 1704-37-53 hectares at above Special Economic Zone vide the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 774 (E) dated 7th April, 2010 ; And whereas, M/s.
