Under section 10(15) (iv) (h) the Central Government specified "8.25% HUDCO Tax Free Bonds " - 003/2002 - Income Tax

Under section 10(15) (iv) (h) the Central Government specified "8.25% HUDCO Tax Free Bonds " Notification No. S.0. 31(E), dated 7th January, 2002. In exercise of the powers conferred by item (h) of sub-clause (iv) of clause (15) of section 10 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government hereby specifies 8.25% HUDCO Tax Free Bonds of rupees one lakh each, issued by Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited, New Delhi during 2000-01, carrying an interest of 8.25% per annum, for a period of 10 years for an amount of rupees one hundred crores only, under Series XVII-A, XVII-B and XVII-C with following details:- Series Amount (rupees) Distinctive No. (i) XVII-A rupees sixty one crores and fifty 0001-6150 lakhs (ii) XVII-B rupees thirty crores 6151-9150 (iii) XVII-C rupees eight crores and fifty lakhs 9151-10,000: Provided that the benefit under the said section shall be admissible only if the holder of such bonds registers his/her name and the holding with the said Corporation.
