To set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Hi-tech Engineering products and related services at Vadodara in the State of Gujarat . MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 11th July, 2008 S.O. 1669(E).- Whereas M/s. Suzlon Infrastructure Limited, a Private Organisation in the State of Gujarat, has proposed under Section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Hi-tech Engineering products and related services at Vadodara in the State of Gujarat; And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that requirements under sub-section (8) of Section 3 of the said Act, and other related requirements are fulfilled and it has granted letter of approval under sub-section (10) of Section 3 of the said Act for development, operation and maintenance of the Special Economic Zone for Hi-tech Engineering products and related services at Villages Pipalia and Alwa, Taluka Waghodia, District Vadodara, in the State of Gujarat on 23rd May, 2007 on an area of 115.73 hectares; And whereas the Central Government, after being satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of Section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements were fulfilled, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub section (1) of Section 4 of the Special Economic Zone Act, 2005 read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006, notified the total area 100.99 hectares, vide notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry number S.O. 1084(E) dated the 3rd July, 2007; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby notifies the additional area of 09-67-61 hectares at Villages Pipalia and Alwa, Taluka Waghodia, District Vadodara, in the State of Gujarat, comprising of the survey numbers and the area given below in the Table, to be included as a part of that Special Economic Zone, namely TABLE S.
