State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited, Tamil Nadu Notification No : S.O. 1308(E), dated 31-7-2007 . Whereas M/s. State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited has proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Electronics/Telecom Hardware and support services including trading and logistics activities at SIPCOT Industrial Area, Sriperumbudur in the State of Tamil Nadu; And whereas the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, has notified the total area of 189.77.1 hectares at SIPCOT Industrial Area, Sriperumbudur in the State of Tamil Nadu as Special Economic Zone in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification vide No. S.O. 2141(E), dated the 22nd December, 2006; And whereas, M/s. State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited has proposed to include an additional area of 41.36.9 hectares at SIPCOT Industrial Area, Sriperumbudur in the State of Tamil Nadu as a part of that Special Economic Zone; And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the Act and other related requirements are fulfilled and it has granted letter of approval under sub-section (10) of section 3 of the Act for development and operation of the sector specific Special Economic Zone for Electronics/Telecom Hardware and support services including trading and logistics activities at the said SIPCOT Industrial Area on the 3rd May, 2007; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Act and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby notifies an additional area of 41.36.9 hectares at SIPCOT Industrial Area, Sriperumbudur in the State of Tamil Nadu, comprising of the Survey numbers and the area given in the Table below, to be included as a part of that Special Economic Zone, namely :- Table Serial No. Name of Village Survey No. Area (in hectares) (1) (2) (3) (4) 1.
