FDI in Water Logging Areas

Government has put in place an investor-friendly policy on FDI, under which FDI, upto 100%, is permitted on the automatic route, in Floriculture, Horticulture, Development of Seeds, Animal Husbandry, Pisciculture, Aquaculture and Cultivation of Vegetables & Mushrooms under controlled conditions and services related to agro and allied sectors subject to certain conditions. Besides the above, FDI is not allowed in any other agricultural sector/activity.

This information was given by the Minister of State for Finance, Shri Namo Narain Meena in written reply to a question raised in Lok Sabha today.
