Balance remaining in PLA Account, Central Excise

Dear Sir,

If one of our factory has been closed down and relevant excise registration certificate is also surrendered to department, but there is balance credit amt in pla account of such factory, then what can be done of such balance remaining in PLa Account. please explain,pls give us any reference regarding this, thanks and regards.

You can apply for refund for such unutilized balance of PLA as ther is specific provision under the act for refund of such unspent advance deposits lying in balance in the applicant's account current maintained with the Commissioner of Central Excise.
