The Central Government, based on recommendations from the Goods and Services Tax Council, will cease accepting requests from the Competition Commission of India or Appellate Tribunal regarding Input Tax Credit and Pricing Impact from April 1, 2025. This notification, issued u/s 171 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, prohibits the Authority from examining whether input tax credits availed or tax rate reductions have resulted in commensurate price reductions for goods or services supplied by registered persons.
