Cost of packing

Notification No. 84/86-C.E.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 313/77-C.E., dated the 8th November, 1977, namely :-

In the said notification,-

(a) for the words, brackets and figure "column (3)", the word, brackets and figure "column (2)" shall be substituted;

(b) for the words, figures and brackets "Item No. of the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), specified in the corresponding entry in column (2) of the said Table", the words "Chapter, Heading No. or Sub-heading No." shall be substituted;

(c) in the Table, -

(i) column (2) and entries thereunder shall be omitted;

(ii) the existing column (3) shall be renumbered as column (2).

2. This notification shall come into force on the 28th day of February, 1986.
