2000 (8) TMI 1038 - Commission - Companies Law
The West Bengal State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission dismissed a complaint where a complainant sought shares but did not receive them. The Commission ruled that the complainant was not a consumer of the company issuing the shares but could seek refund from the bank. The Commission directed Vaisya Bank to refund Rs. 5,000 with 12% interest from the date of encashment of the cheque.
