2004 (10) TMI 436 - AT - Central Excise

The Appellate Tribunal CESTAT, New Delhi heard the case of M/s. Hukumchand Jute & Industries Ltd. regarding a duty demand of Rs. 4,19,477 for dismantling old machinery. The tribunal observed a strong prima facie case for waiver of pre-deposit and stayed the recovery of duty and penalty pending appeal scheduled for 25th January, 2005.
