1. The High-Powered Committee recommended computerisation of PDS with three main components: beneficiary database, stock management, and sale at fair price shops. Emphasized on transparency and citizen participation for social audit to ensure effectiveness.

2. Committee suggested actions for implementation: prioritized computerisation in two parts, directed Department of Food and Public Distribution to issue guidelines, required States to prepare time-bound action plans, appoint nodal officers, include PDS data in UID enrolment, and develop a unified information system.

3. Chhattisgarh model proposed for computerisation up to shop level, Gujarat model for Component 2. States to link computerisation with Aadhar registration, establish grievance redressal mechanism, and ensure necessary infrastructure and financial support.

6. Matter listed for further directions on a specified date for follow-up on implementation and progress.
