2020 (1) TMI 1619 - SCH - Money LaunderingMaintainability of SLP - Petition for grant of regular bail - Money Laundering - siphoning of funds - it was held by the High Court that This court finds substance in the argument of the learned Counsel for the SFIO that since as per the charge-sheet the petitioner is given to manipulations for earning commissions therefore it cannot be denied that by nature the petitioner could be manipulative. Hence this court has no reason to believe that if the petitioner is released on bail he is not likely to influence the witnesses of the case and also not likely to destroy the evidence against him. The past conduct of the petitioner has also not been exemplary. HELD THAT - There are no reason to interfere with the impugned order passed by the High Court - SLP dismissed.
The Supreme Court of India dismissed the Special Leave Petition and declined to interfere with the impugned order passed by the High Court. The pending application in the matter was also disposed of. The petitioner was advised to file a fresh bail application before the appropriate Court if needed.
