2023 (7) TMI 1402 - SCH - Customs

Issues Involved:
Delay in filing and refiling petitions, Application for Intervention/Impleadment, Interference with impugned judgment, Dismissal of Special Leave petitions, Contempt petition

The Supreme Court heard the matter concerning the delay in filing and refiling the petitions, and allowed the application for Intervention/Impleadment. After considering arguments from both sides, the Court decided not to interfere with the impugned judgment and orders. Consequently, the Special Leave petitions were dismissed. Any pending applications were also disposed of as per the order.

In a separate judgment related to SLP(C) Nos. 12887-12888/2019, a delay of 128 days in filing and 7 days in refiling the petitions was condoned. Following the dismissal of the Special Leave petitions, the respondents were granted liberty to seek appropriate orders in the contempt petitions. Any pending applications were also directed to be disposed of accordingly.
