1991 (2) TMI 131 - HC - Central Excise

The petitioner challenged an order of the Customs, Excise and Gold Appellate Tribunal regarding duty demand and penalty. Tribunal directed petitioner to pay Rs. 5,00,000 as a condition for appeal. High Court modified the order, directing petitioner to deposit Rs. 2,00,000 within 8 weeks, with the rest waived until appeal disposal.
