Summary

The High Court of Judicature at Madras set aside the proceedings in the writ petitions and allowed the respondents to issue fresh orders based on a clarification from the Central Board of Excise and Customs. The petitioner in W.P. 882 of 1990 will be entitled to any relief from the Appellate Authority in addition to the relief granted under the Order.
