1999 (10) TMI 72 - SC - Customs

The Supreme Court allowed the appeal by Customs authorities regarding the assessment of Customs duty on imported soda ash cleared to the domestic tariff area from the Kandla Free Trade Zone. The respondents were held liable to pay the duty on surplus soda ash as per the exemption notification conditions.
