The High Court of Calcutta held that the Court of appeal acted legally in setting aside an award made by arbitrators because the dissenting arbitrator signed the award after it was filed in Court, making it invalid. The Court stated that the powers of the arbitrators ended once the award was filed, and the dissenting arbitrator had no authority to sign it later. The Court dismissed the appeals with costs.
