The Supreme Court of India, presided over by Hon'ble Justices Rohinton Fali Nariman and Surya Kant, addressed a petition where Mr. Shyam Divan and other senior advocates represented the petitioner, while Mr. Mukul Rohatgi and a team of advocates appeared for the respondent. The Court granted "permission to file special leave petition" and issued a notice. It directed the filing of a "counter affidavit" within two weeks, with any rejoinder to be filed within two weeks thereafter. The matter was scheduled to be listed on 29th July, 2019.
