2002 (1) TMI 62 - SCH - Customs

The Supreme Court of India condoned the delay in filing a counter affidavit. The petitioner-firm was entitled to receive Rs. 4,35,000 from the respondents for goods, duty, redemption fine, and penalty paid. The goods were not returned, so the petitioner was to be compensated. The respondents agreed to pay the balance amount within four weeks, with the matter listed for review after six weeks.
