Summary

The corrigendum changing "not" to "now" was challenged in W.P. No. 18864 of 1993, which was disposed of. Substitution of "now" for "not" made the order a remand order, which is not allowed under Section 129DD of the Customs Act, 1962. Parties agreed that the Joint Secretary should dispose of the matter to correct this. W.P. No. 15309 of 1993 will depend on the order passed by the Joint Director within six months to be strictly adhered to.
